The Backyard of the Wedding home is a feeding station for any birds who wish to visit -- squirrels are welcome too. :-)

Male Cardinal

This fellow is hunting for a tidbit in the grass.

Female Cardinal

This Lady Cardinal is checking out the backyard, making sure there are no predators around.

Carolina Wren and Cardinal

The Cardinal looks pretty envious of this little Wren. He is eating from a pine cone stuffed with peanut butter and chopped nuts.

Mourning Doves

The doves seem to like the corn that Joe gathered last fall. They also like black oiled sunflower seed.

Grey Squirrel

The Squirrels get their share of the seed first thing every morning.

Chicken Hawk

The Chicken Hawk sits in the tree waiting for the oppertune time to strike.

Ruby Throat Hummingbird

The Ruby Throated Hummer is the only species that we have in Kentucky. Only the male has the red throat, the females are the green color , but their necks are a grayish tan color. This one is standing guard over the feeder hanging below.

Butterfly
The Butterfly was fluttering from blossom to blossom in my butterfly bush.

These pictures were taken from my camcorder.
This page was made by Rita Wedding using freeze frames from my video camera . The video was taken the winter of 2000/200l and summer of 2002. My husband and I enjoy watching the birds and squirrels.
