In Loving Memory of Meredith Marie Higdon

"LITTLE ANGELS"

When God calls little children to dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love.


For no heartache compares with the death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild.


Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold,
So He picks a rosebud before it can grow old.


God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but a few
To make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view.


Believing this is difficult still somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye."


So when a little child departs, we who are left behind
Must realize God loves children, Angels are hard to find.

We love and miss you baby girl.




Meredith Marie was born November 26, l988 and died December 23, l988


She was the first born child of Perry and Loretta Bender Higdon. Grandchild of J.C & Mildred Higdon and George Bender (deceased) and Rita Bender Wedding.



We all consider Joe Wedding as also being the granddad of Meredith. He was and is always there to give his love and support to our family.

Loretta, giving Meredith tender loving care, She spent much of her time gently touching her.


First time Loretta was allowed to hold Meredith since her surgery. It took the nurse 30 minutes to get all her lines extended long enough to reach. This was the day before she died.
